All In (Youth Mission Trip)

This year we are headed off to…The “All In” mission trip is going to be a little different this year.  When serving God, we don’t always know the end results or even all the steps at the beginning.  Sometimes we are just given a single task and expected to obey that.  We just have to obey one step at a time as God reveals His plan.  As we serve God this week, we are going to be looking at what it means to have a willingness to serve God blindly and faithfully.  With each new project of the week, just as in life, we want our response to change from asking “who, what, when, where, why and how” to just “Away We Go.”


The details, or “who, what, when, where, why and how”, of the week will not be shared with the highschoolers going with us.  Of course, all of the details will be provided with parents, but we do ask that you not share any of the details with your children.  Our goal is for them to experience first hand what it means to obey God immediately and without question.  If it going to be a fun-filled week, packed full of moments to see God working through us as we serve the community of…

We will be encouraging campers as they physically run through difficult Teamwork building obstacles each day to test their strength, character, integrity and fortitude.  We’ll also be encouraging them as they will be working through spiritual obstacles to get to Jesus each day during our Devotion and Bible Lesson times.  Our week is going to be filled with plenty of outdoor life skills including fire building, shooting bows, pellet guns, shotguns and tomahawk throwing.  We will do plenty of swimming, fishing and frog gigging and enjoy eating some of our catch. We will spend time on a work project and building Warriors for Jesus.  This week is not for the weak in mind, weak in spirit or weak in body.

Angling & Aquatics

Come dive into Matthew 5 and explore Jesus’ map for His followers to follow as they are Driven!  Find out what it’s like to be Driven to Be Different, Driven to Focus, Driven to Action, and Driven to Share as a follower of Christ.

We will travel to beautiful Lake Barkley, and spend time in God’s word. We will spend time worshiping God in song around the campfire, and listen to others share God’s word. In addition, we will be meeting new people, sharing God’s love in a game or two of basketball, or round of putt-putt. We will have a blast catching and eating fish, or swimming with them in the lake. Or…maybe just swim or tan at the pool, take out the kayaks, paddleboard, or bounce on the waves on a tube as well as the newly constructed zip line over water.



Intermediate I

At Intermediate I, we’re going to Sync! We’re told in Romans 12:2 to not conform...to not sync with the things of this world, but that is such a big struggle for many of us!

Instead, we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. That’s only going to happen when we Sync up with God through Jesus.

At Sync, we are going to look at how we can do that. We’ll look at what we normally sync with, and how syncing with those things damage us. Then we’ll see what scripture says about how we can Sync with Jesus and how that makes things so much better!

Everybody loves a good comeback story. We see them all the time. We read about them in books. We watch them at the movies. And sometimes we wish for comeback stories in our lives. When we trust God with our lives, we start to discover He was there all along. When we mess up, when we run away from Him, when our lives get off course, we can look back and see God was there all along. At Senior 1 we will be looking at the story of Moses, and through his life we will discover that God was working in him, through him, and sometimes in spite of him. A comeback celebrates new beginnings. It offers encouragement and perspective, and it’s for you if you feel frustrated or confused, if you’re enduring hardship or pain, if you’ve made mistakes or are grieving, if you’re defeated or feel as though you’ve lost your way. The good news is that God is in the business of giving fresh starts to people. He gives hope to the hopeless. Direction to the directionless. Help to those who need help. God’s plans will always prevail, even when our plans don’t. If you’ve ever felt dissatisfied with life… If you’ve ever felt stuck in a situation and unable to overcome it… If you’ve ever felt like an opportunity has passed you by… Senior 1 might be for you. Every comeback needs a hero. It’s not you. It’s HIM. Don’t call it a Comeback…. God was there all along.

Ephesians 2:1-6

There is a story that has been unfolding since the beginning of time.  It is hands down the most amazing story ever told.  The most incredible part….you are a part of that story, and it’s still unfolding!   


How It Was - God created everything, including us, for HIM.  Sadly, we choose daily to put other things before Him, and it’s usually ourselves.  Despite our best efforts to do life on our own, He has continued to chase after us, longing to have a real relationship with us.


How it Changed - Although it was the most important event in history, there were no flashing lights, fancy clothes, and definitely no red carpet.  The God of the universe came to earth and lived among people as a man, Jesus.  This man, the Son of God, chose to take on all of that sin through death, so that we wouldn’t have to.  This changed EVERYTHING!


How it Is - The plan has never changed.  We are loved, God has fought for us, and when Jesus enters our life, we move from being a slave to the world and its emptiness to an heir with Him.  With Him, we have a new purpose:  to know Christ and make Him known.


How It Will Be - We can’t stamp “The End” as if this is the end of the story.  The story doesn’t end with us, and it doesn’t end with living a “good life” to try to earn our way to heaven.  The story DOES NOT END.  One day, those who know Him will be with Him forever in a place He has prepared just for us.  What a sweet day that will be.  In the meantime, we have a responsibility….to share the greatest story ever told as we wait for His return.


Ephesians 2:1-6 shows us a glimpse of that story….

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in   which you used to live when you followed the ways of this   world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is  now at work in those who are disobedient.  All of us also lived   among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh   and following its desires and thoughts.  Like the rest, we were   by nature deserving of wrath.  But because of his great love for   us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even   when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have   been saved.  And God raised us up with Christ and seated us   with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in   the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his   grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

Crafts, worship, hikes, hayrides, exciting lessons, games, waterslides, campfires, and lots of new friends are just a few of the memories that you will make. Our theme “Master Builder" will be based off of I Corinthians 3:10, 11 where Paul talks about building on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Many of the kids come to camp with at least a foundation in Jesus, and we will be attempting to use Biblical stories of the faithful to challenge them to grow in their faith. Be prepared for lots of Legos and some larger than life building opportunities as we build our faith on the rock of Jesus Christ.

In the world of technology, we are able to add “filters” to make our life look more attractive or humorous, but that’s not the reality. However, we can allow God to show us how to add the right filter to our lives in order to improve a new reality in His will. What a better place to allow God to start this new reality in His beautiful, serene setting of Wilderness.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We make choices every day, some big and some small.  But throughout the course of our lives, we are faced with choices that could make a great impact on the rest of life as we know it.  Throughout Scripture, the people of God were faced with such choices.  People like Moses and Esther and the Disciples had to decide if they would choose to follow their own plans, or if they would choose to obey God, step out in faith and trust that God would take care of the rest.  And some of those choices ended up changing the world.

grade guys from July 29th till August 3rd.  You will experience all the adventure that God’s creation has to offer from full day backpacking trips and a canoe trip through Red River Gorge to a ropes course and repelling at Torrent Falls. Join new friends in high-energy worship and evening vespers as together you discover the adventure of following Jesus Christ.
